It was awesome being back in London and playing a Sold Out show at the wonderful Dean Street Pizza Express Jazz Club. We played a mixture of music from Polar Waters and Silent Sea and the gig was reviewed in the Camden New Journal, which can be read on the press page.

Polar Waters broadcast on Gilles Peterson’s BBC Radio 6
A few weeks to go until Polar Waters is released and awesome to have been played by Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio 6. The album’s opening track Swimming in Winter was aired for the first time and either side of us were She Can’t Love You by Chemise and Tiya Mowa by Bokani Dyer.

Landfill, the third and final pre-release single from our upcoming album Polar Waters is now available to stream. This is a through composed piece, featuring solos from Andrej on trombone and myself on alto.

Swirl and Gather, the second pre-release single from our upcoming album Polar Waters is now available to stream. The music develops through an extended improvisation with Anna Serierse on vocals and myself on alto and the composition is inspired by Claire Cox’s poem Seasick.

Deception Island, the first pre-release from our upcoming album Polar Waters is now available to stream. Johannes Mann and Marc Doffey are featured soloists and it’s awesome to be able to share the first part of this project.
The composition is inspired by Catherine Fauld’s poem Deception Island, whose travels to the antarctic and arctic have informed her work.
